People and Planet
In our rapidly globalising world, Walk Together emerges as a pivotal initiative, addressing the critical need for intercultural collaboration.
In both Aotearoa and Australia, we bear witness to the challenges faced by our most vulnerable communities. Dominating the deficit statistics for decades, Māori as Tangata Whenua and the First Nations Peoples of Australia, the kaitiaki/caretakers of their lands spanning generations and millennia, find themselves relegated to the status of second-rate citizens.
The example above highlights a complex, often deemed wicked problem for Indigenous peoples. Wicked problems re existing throughout our systems and we firmly believe that facilitation is essential to untangle and co-create across people, concepts, values and systems.
Walk Together NZ positions itself as a robust response to things like wicked problems entrenched within our systems.
The driving force behind our mission lies in bringing people together and walking with them towards Collaborative Systemic Change. Our motivation stems from a profound commitment to navigate these intricate challenges collectively, fostering a transformative shift in our societal systems.
